Hi, TLDR: How can I "repair" and decrypt a system encrypted disk/partition after the disk was mistakenly converted to MBR and possibly converted back to GPT with a rescue disk that was created on the GPT system encryption. Hi, So I made a mistake, I switched my system encrypted drive on one of my devices from GPT to MBR. Then I realized my BIOS did not support MBR. Too recent. After making a clone of the disk using Clonezilla DD to an image on an USB drive I attempted to revert the changes. So I went back to GPT first and used the VC rescue disk to restore the bootloader and the OS headers. From gparted, evrything looks "fine". Yet it does not work.
