Well, it does Drag'nDrop as expected in 1.0.6-3 from Debian based MX-Linux which uses SysV init via systemd-shim which means systemd is loaded for compatibility but not used as init. Perhaps try getting the .deb from here: http://mirror.cedia.org.ec/mx-workspace/mx/repo/ in the stretch section. You could even try MX-Linux on a USB and then install spacefm-1.0.6-3 or newer. Is there a way to preserve the configuration of the Information Panel after restarting the program, or after rebooting. The Preferences seem to hold but the Information Panel loses all it's configuration, Thanks Richard,

Sounds like a permission problem; however, in my /home/richard/.cache/spacefm there are permissions of rwx for owner, which should be removable. Perhaps the jmtpfs created the entries with other permissions. I have installed it but haven't used it much. My suggestion would be to boot an MX16 DVD, I mean, a recovery tool like sysrecd, or the install CD of your distro, and try to remove them as root. How to keep it from reoccuring is another question? I'll keep looking.

My experience seems to be that it only takes its cue from the system lang. If I change lang of OS then it should pick that up. I suppose that is the only way, that I have found. Back to running dpkg-reconfigure locales and rebooting.

I'm running MX based on Debian stable in Spanish language. I would like to run SpaceFM in English to compare translations. How do I set up or start SpaceFM in a language different from the OS? Thanks.
