When using a key file, will Windows retain a recently accessed log of this file and/or event?

I would like to request a feature to remove or create headerless volumes where the header is external only. this would render the drive data useless without the external header. I am attempting to de-header my drive myself but do not know the correct byte offset to edit to remove the embedded backup.
