Yes, I noticed that too. The AppImage binary works fine with no errors, thank you. The very old version I got was downloaded from the Ubuntu apt repo: sudo apt-get install flightgear, see if that can be updated to the newest version as well.

I think the present Skim bookmark functions quite similary to what the creator of this RFE is requesting. Only difference is that bookmarks sit in the bookmark folder rather than within a pdf document. Notes via the Notes Pane actually function as a special kind of bookmark which are anchored in specific locations within specified pages. Rather than having a new note type, or some kind of a link editor that could pollute the interface, a very simple solution could simply be to create a function that...

One more unrelated question: Is there a way to create cross-references via links within Skim notes? If not, are there plans to implement this feature in future releases? It would be very useful to be able to cross-reference between notes.

Oh, I get it. Internal links work only with text and scroll tool. I've been using note tool for some time to add notes without switching back. No wonder it suddenly fails to work. Previously, I add anchored notes under text tool itself using cmd+option+n without realizing switching to notes tool would change peripheral behavior. Thanks anyway, for the help.

You mean the internal links in blue, that also give the preview popups? They work for me, they go to page 2, or the footnotes, as they should. Yes, I mean the internal links in blue. They are also handled completely by Apple's PdFKLit, not by us. Which means, the bug lies with Apple? How can I fix it? This doesn't quite make sense to me because the links work fine on Preview for me. If it is a system issue, the links should fail everywhere.

Seems like links generated by hyperref are a class of its own... The manual can be found over here.

The light blue letters in the attachment above are supposed to be hyperlinks. TOC items would lead to the specific page, while footnote numbers would lead to the specific footnote. I have cross-references between footnotes that use these as well - but doesn't show over here because they are on the same page. You can still see where the link leads to by hovering your cursor over the letters. See image over here. (insert imge not working) When I open the pdf in other software, such as Preview on mac,...

(insert imge not working) When I open the pdf in other software, such as Preview on mac, the hyperlinks still function properly. That worked in previous versions of Skim as well, but seems to be broken from the latest update.
