Ubuntuzilla: Mozilla Software Installer
This has become even more acute since Firefox and Thunderbird 60. The correct icons are present, respectively, in /opt/firefox/browser/chrome/icons/default and /opt/thunderbird/chrome/icons/default. For my part I just symlink them in, but need to do that after each update. eg: /usr/share/pixmaps$ sudo ln -sfn /opt/firefox/browser/chrome/icons/default/default128.png firefox-mozilla-build.png /usr/share/pixmaps$ sudo ln -sfn /opt/thunderbird/chrome/icons/default/default128.png thunderbird-mozilla-...
