    Thanks, Javier! It has been too many languages and too many tribes to try to conform to. Anyway your help was great. Thanks again.

    I am creating a simple application for evaluation OpenXava and I create two entities: PRODUCT and PROTOTYPE with a 1:N relationship between them, as show below: @Entity @Getter @Setter @Table(name="PRODUCT") //@View(members= "PROName, PRODescr") public class Product extends Identifiable{ /** * Default constructor */ public Product() { } /** * Product´s name */ @Column(name="PRONAME", length=PDCSConsts.NamesLength, unique=true) @Required private String PROName; /** * Product´s description */ @Column(name="PRODESCR",...

    Thanks for you answer, Gary. I found a different way of obtaining the same result: instead of trying to fuss with the printer margins at ESCP2 level, I just edit the images to be printed in memory, repositioning them as required, before sending them as print jobs. I used one advice I heard some years ago: "Don´t put your head into the rabbit´s hole" :)

    Due to the specifics of my application I need that different printers print the same contents on the same media position, regardless of hardware adjustments differences between them. I was wondering if there is a way to specify horizontal and vertical margins upon starting a job instead of inside the printing contents. In this way I would be able to compensate for differences between the printers. Is there such an option on gutenprint? Thanks in advance.

    I was trying to find a way of printing white overlay with special white ink on Epson printers fed into one (or more) of the CMY channels. In order to do that, I would need a mechanism to direct all non black pixels into one (or more) specific ink channels. Is it possible to be done in Gutenprint by using printing options and/or XML config files? In the doc folder there is a file named "5.0-release-plan.txt" including the following comment: * Applications with special requirements can now access the...

    Hi, I am trying to print a pdf file on gutenprit 5.3.3-4 using driver "Epson Expression Home XP-245 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.3.3 (color)" and gutenprint is failing with message "Filter failed" in Cups. I am selecting 1440 x 1440 resolution. When I select 720 dpi the driver works as expected and I was printing with previous gutenprint versions at 1440 dpi on the same printer with no failures. The cups log file shows that "PID 4211 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertogutenprint.5.3) crashed on signal 11." and...

    Hi, Eugene. Sorry for not seeing your post. I am using cheap epson printers to print with UV curable inks and I am having trouble getting the ink to polimerize with my UV leds. So, I think one way to go is to print the whole page in layers with low density and them, move the paper backwards and print again. During the time to print the page, the already printed parts would cure and them I would move the paper backwards to print another layer. By doing this I could improve color and coverage of the...

    Hi Daniela. Did you eventually find a way to move the paper backwards? For the Epson printers that I deal with it is not physically possible because it uses the backwards movement of the traction axle to drive the ink pump to clean the nozzles. Did you find another way of superimposing printing layers? Thanks, Ramiro.
