Hi RealTehreal, I unchecked Kernel Services Do not use kernel cryptograpfic services Then I used Disks in Linux Mint and formatted VeraCrypt encrypted partition with NTFS file system. It works in both systems. Thank you. Ptolemy
Hi RealTehreal, Thank you for your answer. The first partition was formatted with GParted in Linux Mint. When the second partition is mounted, it can't be formatted with GParted in Linux Mint. On the other hand it can be formatted with Disks. Let say that I would use Disks and format it. What file system should I use? Ptolemy

Hi all, I have a new external USB HDD. Vendor isn't important in this case. HDD is 4 TB (base 10) or 3.64 TB (base 2) in size. KillDisk zero wiped all sectors on USB HDD in Linux Mint. Then GParted was used. It created GPT partition table. It used size 1.82 TB for first and size 1.82 TB for second partition. First partition was formatted as NTFS file system. It created second partition as unformatted. Then I used VeraCrypt. It encrypted second partition with default settings with NTFS file system....
