Dorin. thanks very much for this. I spent ages calculating the wall area minus the openings based on the 'compute wall area' plugin. I was trying to get a paint estimate and this plugin confirms my calcuations, I just wish I'd found it earlier.

Confirmed here on 14.04 as well. Running lxsession-logout in a terminal does display...
