For me, the message "the form still contains 1 error" only happened on the second time I clicked on the button. The first time the form did not do anything in the UI. The second time the local file was gone, therefore the message was displayed. The solution for me was in this thread: https://sourceforge.net/p/seeddms/discussion/general/thread/bf8be4c8e3/ to disable large file uploads.

Thanks for this hint. This issue happened to me in 5.1.22 just now. I did not have any issues with 5.1.21, but I cannot say if this option "Enable large file upload" was there already or not.

I just came across an issue, that upload was not possible via WebDAV. This is in 5.1.22 Error in PHP logging: [02-May-2021 22:34:45 Europe/Berlin] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function getMandatoryWorkflows() on null in /.../seeddms51x/seeddms-5.1.22/webdav/webdav.php:811 The issue is, that $user is not defined, if I change that to $this->user, then it works. I wonder if other occurances of $user in that file need to be checked as well.

Since this is the first result when searching for the keywords SeedDMS and Fastcgi, I thought I should post a solution that works for me: in our environment, the authentication is passed from FastCGI in the variable REDIRECT_HTTP_AUTHORIZATION.
