Even the simplest invocations of any of the LaTeX-postscript-generating macros fails, no matter how simple the supplied latex code is and no matter what the output format is. It looks like a ruby error that must have crept into the latest deplate version. I can supply more details if there is still interest in maintaining the package. Unfortunately the SF website's editor prevents me from pasting any text.
