Sorry. I missed that. Thanks again.

Thanks, that will help. Any thought on the other two items I noted above: --- General settings setup dialogue box should have [OK] as a default for keyboard Enter [the filename and file location items are keyboard entries so it's natural to just hit enter rather than having to move to the mouse for the OK, and tab won't take you there]. --- fre:ac does not respond to a screen edge bump by opening a 1/2 screen window as most programs do since Win 7

I went back to my Win 7 laptop where I got the message even though I did NOT have a virtual secure drive active. It turns out that I did have the DriveCrypt program running. So I ran a few tests, and consistently, if I exit DriveCrypt there is no message, and if I restart DriveCrypt even without activating a virtual drive I get the message. Note that the message pops up 3 to 5 seconds after ripping starts. If the tracks are real short (5-10 sec duration) it can complete ripping 2 tracks before the...

I have isolated the conditions when the error message appears. It appears when I activate my "secure drive" - mount a container file as an encrypted virtual drive using "DriveCrypt" software from "SecureStar". The message stops coming on when I dismount the drive AND end the windows explorer process [via task manager] and restart it as a New Task. This really should not be happening. Perhaps I should add this to Feature Requests sub-forum to see if others have the same problem. P.S.: I love this...

Yes to bullet 1. Yes to bullet 2. Bullet 3 - bingo ! I was using a virtual "S:" secure drive and a virtual "R:" router mounted USB stick (private cloud). But neither seemed to be the problem. But my explorer also showed a "J:" drive which I did not recognize. I think it once pointed to one of two failed internal CD drives. Now my active CD drive is external. So I deleted the "J:" drive. The error message still came up, but after I rebooted it no longer came up. I also have a laptop running Win 7...

I went back to v-1.0.23 and the message is the same, so you're right it is not version dependent. It is dependent on the general settings: Ripper tab > "Start ripping automatically". If this setting is off I don't get the message. The thing is I do want it to start ripping automatically. I set the folder and file name, click OK, and shove the disk in; the job list displays properly, and it starts ripping properly, and then the error message pops up. There is no reason for the error message at that...

I tried to email this but had no response and have no idea how this forum works, so please bear with me. When ripping a set of CDs with fre'ac v-1.0.29 I insert a CD and after listing the tracks it generates a spurious error message [usully hidden behind some other window] "cannot modify the joblist while encoding!" and then proceeds to generate the mp3s normally. But the error message dialogue remains on the screen somewhere, and one can't proceed with the next CD until the message is cleared. My...
