Hi, we were communicating back in February 2022 about the DragonDeck, and at the time I had it up and running and was playing with it along with a couple of HackRFs and an RTL-SDR. Time passed, the Steam Deck decided to update, and the next thing I know I have an inoperable Steam Deck. I suspect it had to do with a boot manager I’d installed earlier. Re-imaging the Steam Deck has brought it back to life. I installed DragonOS_FocalX_R35 on an SD card and it boots! (thank goodness for small miracles)...

It's great that we're getting closer on the sound. Might I get some hints on how to install the mainline 6.0.3 kernel? Sorry, I'm not fluent in linux yet. I assume that this is updating the kernel within lubuntu, and not within the SteamOS side. I see the rtl_433 software here -- I'll try playing with that. I've used it before stand-alone on a Windows device capturing all the 433 MHz signals in the area into a spreadsheet. It's capturing all the weather station communications, TPMS sensors, and lots...

Update: great news from here -- the HackRF is working fine now, now that I updated the firmware in the radios. Both the Great Scott version and the Chinese version are performing fine. I also have audio working through a pair of AirPod Pros. Thanks for the suggestion. I'd love to be able to use the speaker in the DragonDeck too, so I'll keep hoping for a solution. Since I don't have much experience with linux, I don't know if using any audio drivers from the Steam OS could be possible. I imagine...

This is great info, thanks. BTW, I love the way you've gathered most if not all of the available SDR software in one place in DragonOS. I've been playing on and off with SDR for a few years and am just getting back into it now. I obtained my first ham license in 2000. I'm a linux newbie for the most part, although I've been programming since 1980 or so. I'm still learning my way around the system. I'll keep my fingers crossed that audio support comes along. I'm booting DragonOS-Focal from my DragonDeck, and have SDR++ running with an RTL-SDR. However I'm up against two show stoppers and I was hoping I might find a little guidance here. I can see the signals in SDR++ with the RTL-SDR, but have no audio. Have I missed a step to get the audio device working on the Steamdeck? And perhaps more important, I am not able to communicate with either a HackRF One or a Chinese copy. Perhaps again I've missed a step to make the connection with the HackRF? Thanks...
