Windows Defender (on Windows 10) is showing a message that this recent update is unsafe. I ignored the warning and installed anyway. Presumably this false positive will disappear in due course.

Looking at the list of supported Interface Languages, I don't see Russian listed there. I find that surprising, since Igor Pavlov is apparently Russian.

I often use the Alt+D access key to display the password to check that I am not making a typo. However, the checkbox is always disabled on next use, and there is no access key to refocus the field to type the password. As a keen keyboard user I find it frustrating to pick up the mouse again to do this. All dialogs should have access keys defined, if possible for every single control. I was using an older version of 7-Zip 19.20 after changing my PC, I installed from a backup instead of downloading the latest alpha version. That is definitely better now for me than it was. Parameters now has no access key. I use the Password field frequently, so that suits me better. There are still some controls without access keys. I appreciate that it is time-consuming to fix them after each change to the dialog, but worth doing for accessibility reasons. Some users find the mouse hard to use....

Many thanks for that. It works well for my use case. Not needing a chunk joining exe is an added bonus. I used the Store option to create an archive from my 8 Gbyte file. It took three minutes on my AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb single core old hardware.

A Bug I know this is a trivial bug, but it is also trivial to fix. On trying to extract an invalid archive I get a dialog saying: Can not open file "..." as archive It should be: Cannot open file "..." as archive. A Feature Request: Can you add archive splitting? I cannot copy archives to a USB stick because of limitations of the system. I know there are free utilties out there like (https://www.gdgsoft.com/gsplit) to split archives, but building this feature into 7-Zip would be better. It is also...

A solid archive is even bigger = 44.2 Mbytes. Whatever, that's not my point. My point is that your home page needs updating. Firefox 39 was released on July 2, 2015 — getting on for three years ago now. Comparing 44.2 to 37.1 (= 119%) would make 7-Zip look even better than the current 106% figure.

The table comparing compression on your home page could do with an update. Firefox is now up to version 59, and WinRAR is up to version 5.6. I installed the 64-bit beta version and compressed the Mozilla Firefox folder with best compression and 128 Mbyte dictionary. WinRAR = 43.9 Mbytes = 118.32% 7-Zip 18.03 = 37.1 Mbytes = 100% I don't know what I am doing with WinRAR. Maybe you can get a fairer result with a like-for-like comparison. If I compare data sets with .otf and .woff fonts the results...

Not too bothered, but I have a nice icon set for 7-Zip (I don't remember the source, but it is not my own). As a general rule, changing a program's logo is tricky. After many years the icon gains recognition and a new icon makes users thing that it may be a different program or a fork.
