These are the list of packages that are installed in the "loaded" The idea is you would run in terminal for example sudo apt install xfce4 then run a similar command for the next package. Some of these packages you may already have installed, you may not need to install all of them. If you are curious what a package is you can see the information. Go to this link https://packages.debian.org/stable/allpackages once there do a find on page look for example gufw xfce4 xfce4-goodies xorg xserver-xorg...

Starting from sudo swapon --show that should be what is ran in the terminal (I Updated the wiki to reflect that) (And also that 'NAME TYPE SIZE USED PRIO /swapfile file 4G 0B -2' would be terminal output from 'sudo swapon --show' ) You are correct that is an example output of what should be shown in the terminal Hope that helps,

These are not exact answers but just some things I found that could be related..... Check USB and Drive Mounting make sure that the system is recognizing and mount USB drives. You may need to manually mount the drives using terminal commands to verify if they are detected by the system. Hmmm ... could t be that the GRUB bootloader is not configured properly, which can affect the detection of external drives. maybe check the /etc/default/grub file and ensure that the GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER is set...

Try this: You can use the gsettings command to modify specific settings. Here are the steps to follow: Open a Terminal: You can do this by searching for "Terminal" in your applications menu. Run the following commands: To hide the Home folder icon: gsettings set org.gnome.gnome-flashback.desktop.icons show-home false To hide the Trash icon: gsettings set org.gnome.gnome-flashback.desktop.icons show-trash false To ensure that all desktop icons are hidden, you may also want to set: gsettings set org.gnome.gnome-flashback.desktop.show-icons...

That is actually the way things are supposed to work see.... that flathub button just opened a web link to flathub if the flatpak repo and structure are not installed. But once you install those things, then all flatpaks can be installed via the GnomeStore. That means the Flathub button is not needed any longer that is why it is not visible to you . Hmmm with AppImage hub its is the the same scenario It opens a web link using Luakit to brows the webpage. I think its a problem with Luakit not being...

  • Peppermint OS Peppermint OS posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

In the hub, if you sont have Snap and Flat pack installed they generally will just open to the website. Those buttons use Luakit. here is the Docs that kind of mention that. https://peppermint_os.codeberg.page/html/#peppermint-hub For flatpack you need to do a few steps. sudo apt install flatpak sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo After that the flatpaks should be good to go. I agree with you, we are doing some update din that area, we will...

In terms of the core system not really a whole lot has changed. meaning updates from Debian will be just fine, What we did change though is 1. We created a GUI for the xDaily terminal update tool 2. The Pephub had been merged with the xfce4 settings, a lot of feedback we got mentioned a separate pephub was redundant 3. Kumo will use the min browser for SSBs 4. btrfs will be available, 5. Plymouth updated with new branding There are few more things but those are the ones off the top of my head. Those...

Not sure what TDE means....unless you are talking about it being empty. I do not see it as light weight but rather I see it as, giving the user to opportunity to decide. For me personally I don't want to be told what browser to use, or office tools, or even, media player. Yes I can uninstall them but it is causing me loss of time to do that. Where as if the system comes fairly bare, I only need to build my system my way out of the box. no undo redo of things... But again also I don't want a system...

Thanks for the catch.. just out of curiosity what are you using for check your sums? When we compile the iso, that checksum file is created via a script. the filename in there is something. hybrid.iso. You are correct we need to make sure that name is fixed. However just for general info, the file itself is just a reference so that you can double check the hash.... you are correct the though the name should be corrected and it will, just wanted to let you know the has is what should be matching....
