Hi Chris, I"m sorry - I'd forgotten I'd posted this on here! I got an answer on the Jamulus facebook group: Jamulus had lost security permission to access any microphones on my Mac. Sorted now. Thanks for your response though (I didn't know where the Jamulus.ini file was on Mac so that's handy to know!) and apologies for not coming back and saying it was solved earlier! :/
Hi, I've had Jamulus (3.6.2) running successfully on a 2012 Macbook Pro, OS Catalina, for some time using either a Focusrite Solo or a Behringer UM2. This setup has suddenly developed a problem: Audio output from Jamulus via the USB interface (Solo or UM2) still works, but Jamulus is not showing any input from the interface. I know that the USB interfaces both work with the Mac - I set up a DAW (Traktion Waveform) to use the UM2 (and Solo) as input and output and that all works. I have also tried...
Hi Volker, I installed 3.4.5 this morning on two Macs. As far as I can tell there's no difference in the number of servers I'm seeing compared to the previous version.
I'm still puzzling about why I see a much shorter list of servers on my PC vs my Mac when they are all connected to the same network. I can't see any difference in network settings (where I can see a direct correlation between Mac and PC settings). Could there be a difference in the timeout setting of jamulus server ping in the Mac code vs the PC?
I haven't had any luck with Wireshark yet... But a friend has used a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B to set up a Jamulus server (which he obviously knows the name and address of) and we're connecting to that. Delay is higher than some of the main servers (~80ms) but seems to be working fine.
Hi Volker, That's a really good thought. I will look into that!
Hi Volker, Thank you very much for your quick response. I wonder if there is a list of server URLs and ports published anywhere so that I could try connecting (or pinging) a few (like oQP) as a test?
I just also installed Jamulus on an old PC, connected to the same wifi network as my Mac, and I see a longer list of servers, including for example 'oQP' that I don't see in the list on my Mac. This is really puzzling me now... Any clues?
Hi everyone, In these self-isolating times, a few of us are trying to use Jamulus for a kind of choir practice. We have a number of people with Jamulus installed on various Macs and PCs. Most people's installations show a long list of Jamulus servers in the 'Connect' window, but mine only lists about 7 which means it's hard to find one that has low latency for all of us. I've searched the forum but can't find anything that would solve this problem. I've tried connecting via hardwire ethernet, via...
