    On my system (Mojave) the last page is only restored for the PDF that was being viewed in Skim at the moment it was closed. If I open another PDF, then the shows the firstpage instead of the page that was being viewed the previous time in was open in Skim.

    Some additional info: I tried a couple of releases and the behaviour was the same Burn 3.1.2 and 2.7.10 Then I installed Burn 2.5.1 which works without the crash.
