    That was very quick, thanks! It appears to work. I tested these scenarios: - Press Generate, then Apply - type new password manually and press Apply - type new password manually and press Ok.

    By the way, versions up to V3.50 update the timestamp correctly on the first password change.

    I noticed this too and I was waiting for it to re-occur to make sure I wasn't imagining things and to make some instructions how to reproduce the problem. When it happened I noticed that the 'Password last changed' timestamp hadn't been been updated when I last changed the password.

    My take on it is that PuTTY is an excellent ssh/scp/sftp client and the agent that comes along with it (pageant) is also very good, so I don't feel there's the need to reinvent the wheel. I can use pageant as the agent while keeping the private key passphrases in the password safe.
