I'm curious if this is even being considered, as there are fewer and fewer packages still requiring gtk+ 2. It's certainly far from being critical, but I suspect at some point, gtk+ 2 will get deprecated and dropped from distros.
I no longer use gtkpod, so unless someone else also has this problem, I'm happy to close this ticket.

All mulitple definitions are for either gtkpod_app or gtkpod_app_signals, both declared in in libgtkpod/gtkpod_app_iface.h: GtkPodApp *gtkpod_app; guint gtkpod_app_signals[LAST_SIGNAL]; Adding "extern" to both lines gets rid of the multiple definitions, but apparently ends up with gtkpod_app never actually getting defined.
