    I would like to automatically switch to certian audio devices based on monitor profiles. The way i currently preform this is through rightclicking the audio icon on the task bar and choosing playback devices

    Due to some display driver errors crashing windows I am currently testing a new setup using two of those afformentioned cards. (previous HDMI monitor now runs through the second ) Loading the xml for this setup produces "Failed to set display settings, ERROR: 87" Hoping you can pull through with another clutch bug stomp haha.     Seems to be working flawlessly. But yeah definitely some weird activity going on there, interesting that the OP had the same exact value. Im wondering if the manual solution would be limited to this particular product or if different USB based devices would behave differently... Anyways, appreciate the support! Once again awesome project man, and best of luck with it!

    The USB adapter http://plugable.com/products/uga-165 is indeed the issue. When unplugged I'm able to save profiles as well as reload them. When plugged back in I am able to load the previously saved profiles which do not include this monitor, however I am not able to save new ones, reguardless of whether or not the "USB monitor" is enabled. Im not sure if its at all possible to determine what is going on behind the scenes here but the link does contain a fair bit of information as to how it works...

    yeahhhh, I could see how I may fall under that category lol. I have four displays connected at once. One 1080p HDMI One 1080p running off a USB To DVI To VGA external graphics card http://plugable.com/products/uga-165 One 1440p 144Hz display port One 1080p HDMI output to an amplifier which connects to a projector I never have all four on at once. I would love to have one profile that's just the projector, one for the three monitors, and one for the 1440p monitor only. I plan on using your command...

    Result of Monitorswitcher.exe -debug -save:Tripple.xml >> Output.txt Spits back about the same error as before but just without the GUI elements. Output file is completely empty. Shortly after the stack trace becoems visible I get a "MonotorSwitcher.exe has stopped working" Must be failing somewhere before the debug code Wish I knew more about .net to help you out.
