Han; Thanks you so much for your help. I made the adjustment that you sent. It would not solve for the "artificial" image source but when I switched to the NASA skyview source it did solve but sent me a warning message to change the focal length. I set the focal length the specified 232mm and it seems to solve just fine now using the NASA database. I haven't tried it with the ESO database and might not bother. I've tested it quite a bit and it seems to be working great now. I can set up a sequence...

Han, Thanks for trying to help. My settings have been set to just what you show in the screen print but it won't platesolve at all. Is my focal length correct? I've tried using the nasa sky view, the eso database and the artificial nothing works.

I'm still having plate solving issues. I will start the program. take an image, it will platesolve just fine then I'll go to framing on NINA pick an object, slew to it, take an image and the plate solve will fail. Is there any actual documentation on the complete and exact settings to use when trying to use sky simulator with NINA?

Thanks for the help. I did have the correct path for ASTAP but I had the platesolver set for Platesolve 2 and did not have the path for that. Once I corrected that found out to set the downsampling to 0 it seems to be plate solving fine now.

It took a while for me to get NINA to download the images but now it won't plate solve. I keep getting a message that says executable not found. Is there a list of the correct settings for camera, telescope etc for NINA?
