Based on the comments in guile.m4, it looks like the macro needs to be updated to accept both Guile 3.0 and Guile 2.2: # By default, this macro will search for the latest stable version of # Guile (e.g. 2.0), falling back to the previous stable version # (e.g. 1.8) if it is available.
