OKm we dont seem to be able to close our own tickets on SF. Please close Justin, the fault lies with slackwares ffmpeg which is built against X X is not installed, nor should it be on headless servers.

"Asterisk and FreePBX don't need much computing horsepower to function. Its driven by system scale with extensions, number of simultaneous calls (i.e. channel load), call recording/playback, " Absolutely, I've long advocated that, however it does require a lot of RAM, I've done configs that are large retirement villages/hotels/resorts with 1K exts, minning camps with 2k lines all on one server, including a 42RU rack full off 48 port gateways. I also dont always use sangoma, grandstream gateways are...
pjsip conflicting settings Resolution: Fixed sipsettings v14.0.27.19 sipsettings v15.0.6.20 This module has been published and is now in the "edge" track your concerns addressed and now fixed as per the default setting :)
By the way John, after you changed that setting, you need to fully restart asterisk, not just a apply config reload, I'm sure you knew and did that, but in case anyone else following this feels the need to change the settings :)
Note: If 'Allow Transports Reload' is set to 'Yes' reloading after changing transports does have the possibility to drop calls. It indeed should be disabled by default, I'll file that one sicne freepbx choice clashes with asterisks advice, although I've never experienced any drops, as it says, the possibility does exist for that to happen, unfortunately it does not say what conditions are needed to be met for that to occur.
Interesting... never heard of anyone having problems uploading, and none of my pjsips take more than a few seconds after APPLY Config, and my allow transport reloads is set to yes, me thinks you have bigger issues someowhere, mind you, none of my network - except for end user portable devices (mobiles/laptops), uses, or even comes close to, anything to do with wifi, everthing critical is pure hard wired, unlike IIRC and without re-read this thread all over again ( coz its almost as big as that famous...
It is actually pretty straight forward as thats normal for most businesses, assuming I've read you right, kinda like what this diagram shows https://members.ausics.net/noel/Phone%20System%20Flow%20Chart.pdf even if you replicate that for different DID's its still very common, I did once once for a restuarant, that operated under 2 names AND a take away ... beats me, but thats their business choice I guess :)

You're corrected. It is due to memory limitations, recommended that you try not to have more than 10 concurrent calls , you could get away with probably 30 or so normal phone registrations. Just monitor your memory usage., also, dont forget bandwith, although typcially each call with most trunk providers only allowing alaw and ulaw, uses less than 15kbs per call, I lke to base it on 90kbps per call in case one day I move to a decent svc offering better codec support.
I dont understand why you dont have the raspbx pi directly conencted to your routers LAN port, or does it not have one and you rely upon wifi to get out? Setting a static IP is essential for trouble free comms, but since you are using DHCP, on raspbx /etc/dhcpcd.conf, and set a static entry there, just pick an IP in theclass c you are using (the /24) and srt...... for example if you're using 10.10.10.0/24 interface eth0 static ip_address=10.10.10.40/24 static routers=10.10.10.1 static domain_name_servers=10.10.10.1...
Some things here are not adding up.. John says "it's on the same Ethernet portion of the LAN as the router" then there's "but my LAN has no sub-LANs or virtual LANS" and "into the LAN exactly where the Pi 4B was located using the same LAN connection." Explain the above line? if it is all one LAN how can you put it in the same LAN localation? Also, I hope you are NOT using DHCP for raspbx
Hi Julie, Just copy it over to the new pi, change any relevant paths etc, I use it on another pi that has nothing t odo with freepbx/raspbx, its actually an adsb feeder, works a treat ;)

bin logs contain internal tracking data, ignore them, mysql.err is the standard error log file chances are its not running with tht option... try command line: mysqld_safe --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --log-error=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.err --pid-file=/var/run/mysql/mysql.pid & That should start and background mariadb if it barfs out, it should now create that log file (I have to leave for work now so if log file doesnt show you anything, you might need to wait til someone else chimes in)
Look for any error logs in /var/lib/mysql
