Is KeePass 1 an option? I feel this is much simpler. (I successfully "convinced" my dad to use it)

Indeed only works for a single entry unfortunately, but better than nothing. @John, @Paul: Thanks ... but my intention is to keep the file clean and small (so far I just had a separate "Archieve" hierarchy in the same file). Do you not archive and just let the entries in your current file? Hmm, I just don't find them (2.44). Neither anywhere in the menus nor do they hotkeys CTRL+SHIFT+C and CTRL+SHIFT+V work (for copying entires or even groups). Has this been removed?
As I said this happened already to me so it is not necessarily related to that update (I found the thread already). My main question is #1: 1.) Is there a way to close this virtual desktop and get back to the actual one?
I've been using KeePass for many years and it occured just a few times to me so I cannot reproduce it: After unlocking the workspace, I end up with a black screen and I cannot get back. Investigation yields that I am in the virtual desktop that is created by KeePass for secure password input. So I can use CTRL+ALT+DEL to start the taskmanager. Surprisingly, keepass.exe is not in the list. So here is what happened: I attempt to unlock the keepass workspace which created a new virtual desktop and switched...
