Hi Nick, Thanks for your previous response. I have another question, which I'm a bit confused about. If the MI score of an image with itself = -0.32, how would you explain this number and what does that mean? Also how does this number normally get reported? (i.e. should it be converted to percentage or the value by itself gets reported) Thanks, Niousha

Hi Nick, thanks for the info. I tested the MI on a pair of identical image (as a test). Using the numberOfBins= 32 I got -0.9178, while using numberOfBins=50 I got -0.9656. Although in one of the papers above, the default value was mentioned to be 32 but 50 gave me a lower number. So is there any rule for chosing the numberOfBins? Or should you always perform a test just similar to what I did and then keep the same setting for the lowest value that you obtained for the rest of the images? Also if...

I know there are lots of articles available regarding ANTs usage, but to facilitates things a bit better, I was wondering if you could specifically suggests articles that deal with the following parametrs so I would know what they mean and how to use them: metric Weight, sampling strategy, sampling percentage, and radius. Also is there any article that you would suggest where I could find the difference between each...

Hi there, I have another question about ImageSimilarityMeasure that I wanted to ask. Can we input mask images in addition to the original image to get the MI score (let's say if we were only interested in a particular area of the image and not the entire image)? When I search for --help, there is only instructions for inputting the fixed and moving images and not their masked ones. Please let me know the format using which I can input the maks images as well or kindly suggest any alternatives you...

Hi there, I have sets of CT images and want to get the MI scores when running MeasureImageSimilarity. I tried that twice: first I set my fixed and moving images to be identical CT images (with different names), second I shifted my moving image in a different Sofware (i.e. 3D Slicer) and tried running MeasureImageSimilarity again (this time with less overlap ofcourse). The problem is both times I recieved an identical MI score and that was -1.45676! Although the first time I had a perfect overlap...
