    Looking into this more. Some of the welcome info is from /etc/*ease *easecatches the filenames ending Release or release. Can you send a copy? Also can you take a snapshot of the Welcome screen so I know exactly what needs fixing. Cheers Nigel

    On my ubuntu 26 on VirtualBox on a laptop netstat -r take 1/00th of a second. You obviously have a much more complicated network stack. I think you need to resolve some network issues. Looking around the Internent, your network might be working but only due to some functions having to time out, particularly DNS.
