To my surprise I couldn't find anything about the inner workings of snapraid in the docs or in this forum. For software like this I like to know how it does what it does. This way I know better what to expect and how to configure my hardware, partitions, filesizes, ... So this is what I'm guessing the 1st sync does, please correct my mistakes: 1) Loop over all files in all datadisks, calculate a checksum for each file and write the filename and the checksum to the content-file 2) sort all filenames...
