As noted in the source already, the following files CPP/7zip/Common/FileStreams.cpp CPP/7zip/UI/Common/UpdateCallback.cpp should include <sys/types.h> instead of <sys/sysmacros.h> on BSD.

Hi Igor, I'd be great as others pointed out too if yasm or nasm could be used for assembler. It'd make integration into Linux distributions very easy.

If you publish the source code, the community can pick up and create a CMake build system, that can even be used everywhere but still be optional on !Linux.

Hi Igor, This is surprising and also great news! Do you plan to publish the source under a permissible license so that Linux distributions can finally replace p7zip? Thanks!

Can you also please release the source code?

Hi, So far p7zip project seems to be lacking behind updates and I find it not sustainable that a fork has to be maintained for Linux support. Instead, would it be acceptable to add Linux support to 7-Zip itself? We can for example add CMake build files under a subdirectory called "cmake" and add non-Windows build system there. Instead of replacing 7-Zip files like p7zip does we could have replacement headers/files in this directory as well. Igor, do you think this would be acceptable?

Any idea if there is going to be a p7zip release too?
