The main issue is that it is in the way of normal work when detached. I cannot minimize it and have to close it or resize it. Resizing it on a small screen requires me to resize it back so that I can see the 3D model. The reason why I detach it is less screen area (1920x1200) to see the floor plan properly. It will be faster to work if these windows are tabbed or separate. "The 3D view is on top on purpose to avoid losing the window." Can't it be another window visible in the task bar?
I have added an attachment. Once the 3D view is detached, it is always on top and has to be moved around to work with the floor plan. It does not support minimizing.
Yes, but I detach the 3D view so that there is more space for the floor plan. In that case, the 3D view window just hovers above the man application and cannot be minimized. It will be nice to detach the 3D view to a separate tab in the main application.
Different Windows or tabs for floor plan and 3D view
Good suggestion. Added to the "todo" list coupled to keyboard shortcuts.
I will add it to the "todo" list.
