Hi Mark, thank you for your replies on this and the other thread. I will look into the Samsung Galaxy S10e! Much obliged, for this and all your hard work on OpenCamera :-)
My Nokia 7.1 AndroidOne with Android 9 only toggles between front / rear preview, in spite of having two rear-facing cameras. I'm intrigued by this 2018-09-20 Anonymous comment: LG G6 - works fine. I.e., touching the "toggle cameras" icon cycles through all three cameras - two rear, one front. I'm tempted to drop $200 on a LG G6 to see if I can reproduce this. I'm confused how it would work on an Android 7 (Nougat) device, as I thought this feature wasn't added until Pie.
Hi, related to the above, I see that CameraController2 checks for multiple logical cameras: if (capability == CameraCharacteristics.REQUEST_AVAILABLE_CAPABILITIES_LOGICAL_MULTI_CAMERA) Is there a phone (specific vendor/model) that you have found to actually meet that condition? I'd like to test it, but haven't found supporting hardware.
