" both to yourselves and to any of the rest of us you connect to" This is very funny. You are saying that our OS is unsafe, and it could infect with Jamulus your super safe OS. That would mean that your OS is not safe at all.

yes it could be, but it doesn't also supports windows xp, and I use on xp with no problem at all (obviously a version compiled by myself), anyway this is a good suggestion, thank you. Things to check yet: -his computer with another connection (thank usually works with jamulus) -his connection with another computer tht usually work with jamulus so we will find out if the problem is the connection or his computer/system
yes, I'm not sure he could use ethernet, but if so I will test it. BTW the audio card is a presonus audiobox usb 96, another friend use the same audio card with no problem at all. The problem comes at random but sooner or later it will have this problem, maybe in 5 seconds, meybe in 5 minutes.. very strange. It would be great if jamulus would have some kind of "log" to check.

a firend has this problem (windows 8 with latest version but also with old versions). He join the server and it works perfectly but after a while he doesn't hear anymore and also we doesn't hear him anymore. So the only thing possible is to disconnect and reconnect to the server, so all works again, but for a while. Sound like a network problem, like as if he disconnect when too much data has received, but I don't know. Any suggestion?
use those drivers www.behringerdownload.de/_software/BEHRINGER_2902_X64_2.8.40.zip or if you need 32 bit www.behringerdownload.de/_software/BEHRINGER_2902_WIN32_2.8.40.zip not the asio4all! set buffers to 128

great! Can I use english language for interface while using italian flag on profile?
More often than not in a server there is a bassist or a drummer that I really want to ear more, but his level is lower than others. So the only solution is to push all levels down and keep him to 100%, than raise my phone volume up. It would be very good if all levels was set to 50% by default, so I can adjust my phone level once, and if there is something i want to hear more I raise his level more. Similar solution would be to keep 100% levels, but having an "extra gain" if needed. It could be nicer...
I solved my problem about empty list switching to a public IP address (I was under NAT). Befor that my solution was opening new instances of Jamulus (without closing old one, this is important) until the list was visible (this is because jamulus changes port, I could use -p option but ths was faster)
hopefully I use Qt5 (QT5.7.0) to compile in windows for the legacy v141_xp platform, hope the support for Qt5 will be alive for long time :-)
in this moment, for example, jamulus on 12135 has empty list and jamulus on 12134 has a working list, so I'm pretty sure its an ISP problem, maybe in some moment opens a port 12134 for someone under the nat and not for another one, then in another moment 1234 is not available, but the 12135 is. So i think I just have to use a worning one in that particular instant. btw, why if i run jamulus -p 12125 it use port 12135?

I have the problem of "empty list" and my other friends have too. We are under NAT so I think the problem is related. Anyway now if I open Jamulus I see that he is using port 22134 (I use a free program, cports). The list it is empty. Now if I open it again without closing the previous instance, the second instance uses port 22135, and I have the list visible! The help (jamulus --help) says that the -p switch is only for server, but I see that if I run the client with Jamulus.exe -p 22125 It takes...
I'm also in Italy with fastweb, the empty list seems to be a random problem. Usually on Europe, but tonight for example Default Europe works but no way to have North America loaded.
Yes, a kind of "shared whiteboard" where to past chord progression would be very nice.

I use Jamulus in a 32 win XP, if I use last installer and I just overwrite the exe, it doesn't work, because some dll error. If I install the old version (I think 3.4.2 that by the way it doesn't work as is, because the exe is not a valid 32 application for my win xp) , then I can overwrite just the file of last compilaiton, and I have a working last version of Jamulus . So dll have to be different in some way.
A friend use windows 10, and Jamulus crash when JamulusRouter is selected. I sent to him the version I compiled for windows xp (because it works very well with Jack), and with my version (right now 3.5.2git) it works. If I don't remember wrong, I compile the project and I copy the compiled Jamulus.exe on a 3.4.2 installation, because It doesn't work with newer dlls so I use dlls from 3.4.2.
Finally, I was able to compile for xp, now I have 3.5.0git running on my xp, I'm very happy!
meanwhile, I was able to compile versions up to 3.4.3 (if is useful to anyone, I used qt-windows-opensource-5.1.1-msvc2010 and windows sdk 7.1, I think last product I was able to install on xp). Other version doesn't compile wiith some problem on the "recorder" thing, but with those versions I'm able to join lot of servers. just a note: I had to modify somewhere "if QT_VERSION >= QT_VERSION_CHECK(5, 0, 0)" to "if QT_VERSION >= QT_VERSION_CHECK(5, 2, 0)"

oh, thank you, this is great!
hi, last version i can use with windows xp is 3.4.1, too bad because xp is very very much more stable with audio. With this version though I cannot use almost any server but the default (can join but no audio). There is a change to have last versions on Windows xp too?
