Thank you! First of all, sorry for creating a duplicate post in the tickets section. I'll now disable the plugins, and see if I can reproduce this. In the meantime, I included my configuration file as an attachment

I can start with a clean slate, but I'm fairly sure that I won't be able to reproduce the problem, and I'm afraid that with it any information would be lost that could be obtained now Sorry, I did not want to give the impression that I simply don't want to exit and restart KeePass, but you seemed to be wanting to solve this problem with just a restart, while ignoring that there may be a bug that may cause this behavior for others in the future. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I'll now read the responses,...

Oh and forgot to mention: if I set the window to be enabled (with an advanced task manager) then I can now move it, use the buttons in the window header (minimize, maximize, close) and the toolbar buttons will get a border on mouse hover, but nothing else

What? I've changed the milestone to 2.x... how can I edit it to fix it?

Database does not lock on locking windows account after GUI freezed

  • MPeter MPeter modified a comment on discussion Open Discussion

I don't think it's a problem with the configuration. I did not try to restart KeePass, because of the said reasons. Sorry, but do you understand my problem? I'm not here to find a solution for the frozen GUI, but to report a security bug (database not locking). If you don't know how to continue with this, could you help me to contact the dev?

It does not start automatically. Currently I can't use it normally, and I can't check which version does it report, but according to Process Hacker (not really hacking, it's just a better process manager) the version of the KeePass which is running now is the version 2.44.0.0 auto-type works as expected, without lagging or any problems. Rebooting is not exactly the soltuion in my case. Please read my answer to wellread1 to know why I didn't see the attachment button, thank you!

Check for multiple copies of KeePass.exe on your computer. Everything shows no other copies. Well, it shows 2, but they were on read-only mounted Macrium Reflect images which were unmounted long ago This can happen if you have a KeePass sub dialog open but have somehow managed to hide it. If you have a dual monitor the sub-dialog might be on the second screen. When a sub-dialog is open the main KeePass window won't respond to input, but global auto-type will still work. I only have a single monitor,...

One more thing that I just noticed: it has posted this notification in the action bar half an hour ago Please note that KeePass has been frozen for a few days already, and I haven't seen it working as intended in that period. Last resume from hibernation was (almost exactly) half an hour before the time of that notification

A few days ago I've found a bug in KeePass. It's window does not react to any kind of input, I can't even move it/close it/make it active with the window header, but if I start autotype with the global key combination then the window pops up and works correctly with which you can choose which entry to fill in. This indicates that the process is not frozen, and that too that if I try to click a lot in the main window, Windows does not ask me to wait or close the programm, as it would to with windows...
