[UPDATE] : Turns out this was a coincidentally timed hardware issue and nothing to do with rEFInd. 2015 MBPs have the trackpad HSSI cable stretched across the battery and bumping the laptop about in general day to day use can damage or loosen it. @Roderick - could you please delete this post? Apologies for the mis-posting and thanks for an excellent tool (which I have now reinstalled).

Hi, I'm not sure if this is a Linux problem or a rEFInd one but I figure this is the best place to ask first. I installed rEFInd on my early 2015 MBP with no real problem except that I had to do it in recovery mode due to the problem with the SIP. I then installed Linux Mint which went fine, but often the built-in keyboard would not work in the rEFInd menu forcing me to do a cold boot into recovery mode to reinstall it. I then installed Kali instead of Mint (but on the same partition), again with...
