I have a NetCDF file that uses -32767 as the _FillValue and missing_value for a variable. I have dropped these attributes and recreated them using ncatted: $ ncatted -O -a missing_value,varname,d,f," " in.nc $ ncatted -O -a missing_value,varname,a,f,NaN in.nc I'm pretty sure I've only just modified these attributes and I still need to change all values from -32767 to NaN. I have tried doing this using ncap2 but I have specified the NaN incorrectly, in that it looks like it thinks I am referencing...

I am trying to compress a NetCDF file using ncks, and getting the error NetCDF: Bad chunk sizes. For example: $ ncks -4 -L 6 -O in.nc out.nc nco_err_exit(): ERROR Short NCO-generated message (usually name of function that triggered error): nco_def_var_chunking() nco_err_exit(): ERROR Error code is -127. Translation into English with nc_strerror(-127) is "NetCDF: Bad chunk sizes." nco_err_exit(): ERROR NCO will now exit with system call exit(EXIT_FAILURE) I am running this on Ubuntu 18.04.
