You could also try https://melomax.live for a free private server. This will at least let you see quickly if a private server in the cloud meets your needs.
Bob makes a very good point! I can definitely recommend the Blue Yeti mic's. I was a sound engineer for many years and am really suprised at the quality of them. The yeti also has headphone output jack built in (essential for great Jamulus session), and you can control the gain and pickup pattern too. Its really awesome. Can find it here https://amzn.to/3eGUtJJ
Thanks for trying it out DonC. Very strange that this is happening for you, we just use the speed test at openspeedtest.com so they must have some issue there. If you want to go straing to the booking page because you know your connection is good enough, you can access it here

Thanks Andrew! Good idea, we've added some sort of auto location lookup to the backlog. Not sure what you mean by helping curate the genre focussed discussion?
How are you getting on with setting up your own server Alison?
Hi Alex (nice name btw :p). If you want an easy way to setup a private server maybe you can try https://melomax.live In a few clicks you can select a server that is closest to you, and only you will be given the special URL generated for you. No worries if you still want to carry on with hosting your own locally. I haven't heard of the problem you are having above, very strange that it connects initially but then drops completely. Did you follow some tutorial to get it set up?
No issues at all. Audient spend alot of time working on improving performance in their drivers. What you get with the EVO 4 is a trickle down of what they work on for their bigger products. Driver install guide can be found here https://evo.audio/driver-installation/
The audient Evo 4 is a great little low price device that works really well. Also has a handy auto gain function to avoid nasty digital clipping https://amzn.to/2BwKJ6j
Just to clarify Will, you are looking to connect musicians on both sides of the atlantic? Rather than US folks playing with US folks and UK folks palying with UK folks?

Oops, just found this. Hopefully you don't require an issue to fix a 1 character typo :)
You may have to right click on the jamulus icon and choose open. Sometimes unsigned software will only open this way. Also you might need to tick the box under System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Allow apps downloaded from App Store and Identified Developers
Hi Mauro, have you followed the instructions on the get started page? https://github.com/corrados/jamulus/wiki/Getting-Started Really is important to get an ethernet cable from your computer to your router and turn off wifi What are your results when you go here? http://openspeedtest.com
Pierce it looks like you have created an Aggregate device rather than a multi output device. The Multi Output Devices have the stacked layer icon as in the image below. Create your mod and you should be good to go.
Thanks for the release Volker!
