As Kai-Uwe also mentioned its probably a good idea to look to the RefIccMAX project on github as it represents a logical successor to SampleICC. For an example program to perform color transformation I recommend that you look at either the iccApplyNamedCmm or iccApplyProfiles command line tools that are part of either SampleICc or RefIccMax.
