Yes. I am using 3.0.2.21 The partition scheme that I provided above is what Linux Mint creates by default, and is exactly how my old drive was partitioned (though, my old drive was much larger). It seems to work ok on a VM, but I never got VirtualBox's NVME adapter to work right, so I never recreated my problem in the VM. What I ended up doing was using dd to clone my 1TB drive to my new 2TB. Then I rebooted my system and used the gdisk tutorial to convert the partition scheme on my new 2TB drive...

I am practicing in a VM before I try the real thing again. I have made no headway, though This is a simulation of what my source drive partition table looks like: Device Boot Start End Sectors Size Id Type /dev/sdb1 * 2048 2099199 2097152 1G ef EFI (FAT-12/16/32) /dev/sdb2 2099200 171966463 169867264 81G 5 Extended ├─/dev/sdb5 2101248 140513279 138412032 66G 83 Linux └─/dev/sdb6 140515328 171966463 31451136 15G 82 Linux swap / Solaris I can't get Clonezilla to recreate this on the new drive automatically....

I just Googled up this post while investigating virtually the same error. I am trying to clone from a 1Tb NVMe to a 2Tb NVMe. I am using ver 3.0.2-21, in beginner mode. I am using the -k1 option to create partitions proportionally.

I was able to work around the problem by using Expert mode. Automatic partitioning failed.

Update: I got Clonezilla to work by picking Expert Mode, and manually creating my partitions. I'd offer to keep testing, but my gear is now working, so I can't use the same hardware. I did set up another PC with a 256Gb SATA SSD, using the same partition scheme. But Clonezilla was able to duplicate it using Beginner Mode.

Thanks for working with me, Steven. I thought that I might have a bad drive, so I got another one, and reran Clonezilla. But got the same results. I then thought I might not have properly written the ISO out to the USB flash. I burned a DVD to run from. Still having the same problem. I will try expert mode again. I just ran it in expert mode, but did a bad job of manually creating my partitions, so it failed. I have attached the data you requested, and a second screen shot of the failed partitioning...

I am trying to backup an 1TB NVMe to a 2TB. I get an out of space error when creating partition 6 on the destination. I have tried direct to a sata port and in an external usb enclosure. No matter how I do it the destination comes out with all partitions removed. I have tried the stable release of Clonezilla, and the impish (07/01) version.
