Hello Peter, Well, I still try to survive (until now successfully). Hope, you are doing well! How and when would one want to save and restore the settings (I guess you mean volume?). Yes, all of the volumes (shown in that Sound Mixer). Yes, I do not have any idea of how many people might have this / such a problem (changing volumes all the time), any idea how common this issue might be. But it would be good to had the possiblitiy to save and restore such settings / volumes on another / new installation,...

Is it possible to store the settings of the so called Win Sound Mixer somehow with Peace and restore it later? Or use another program, e.g. Peace, instead of the last dirt Sound Mixer? Sorry, so I misunderstood your explanation. Glad it works. Many thanks again!

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

I have the newest, 1.5.5.5. Ah great, the bug already detected. Very fast. Thank you very much! So, if I understand correctly, I could have used the balance directly in the effects panel without the error to be caused. Yes yes, of course, many thanks for the beta. Works like before, no error anymore. Many thanks!

Yes, indeed, sounds great, many thanks!

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

That is great! Thank you very much!

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Yes, exactly. It is easier to handle (but obviously for me only). Actually I am wondering why not each (or most of them) slider has a visual control popping up when changing it.

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Could one make the same available for the pre amplifying: https://i.imgur.com/V8HVXY0.png?

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Oops, very sorry, cannot remember anymore that point. Yes, works great, many thanks for the screenshot.

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Just updated to https://i.imgur.com/rUVT1AT.png The speaker beeps for the shortcuts are removed, it is a pity. I cannot use the new / other signals / tones. Each time I press a shortcut (or listen to the audio signals in the Peace gui), the volume slider for Peace goes up from where I have set it, e.g. here https://i.imgur.com/KWNEyQ5.png to https://i.imgur.com/sxiDtQj.png (very loud). Is there a method to avoid it?

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

You are very welcome. e-mail notification not available.

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Yes yes, I know, sorry, I meant, yes the volume control in Peace is - of course - very good and when one uses Peace one does not need - of course - that ugly mixer, so why not leave it like it is. And I (normally) do not use that mixer anyway so bypassing that trashy mixer is very good. Leaving the trash like it is is good.

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Some notifications get into the spam folder some don't, strange. And now you're saying it isn't so the mixer isn't a good feature to work Yes, but on my system is nothing that works properly so this might not representative. It gives a good way to get the volume up or down for the notification sounds. Yes, that seems to be the best, I myself actually do not use and want not to use that mixer unless I have to what happens sometimes.

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Yes, of course, if any problem occurrs I will tell you. Yes, may be we will never get to know why Peace runs so sluggish here (and sometimes it runs fast for a short moment).

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Besides, AutoIt the programming language isn't a good choice for a phone app. And rewriting the entire program extremely laborious. You're talking about the single main volume slider. The mixer is the multiple slider. Or at least I get a single slider when I click on the speaker icon of the sys tray. I mean this shitty thing: https://i.imgur.com/gb9gJod.png Peace is not shown there at the moment, I do not know why, even after switching (and causing a sound) the profiles it isn't.

  • Martin Martin modified a comment on discussion General Discussion

Oops, sorry, did I forget to mention it? Just tried, yes, works, no problem. But strangely with the current version (at the moment) neither, works as well. I noticed the problem the first time yesterday...or the day before, so obviously the balance control had worked well until that day. So because the balance control of the current verion works now the beta version might work as well now although still having the error.

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

I want the settings window height to be as small as possible for use on a Windows phone. I hope that not many people using Peace on a phone but it's for those who do. Anyway, I've put it on the Hotkeys tab now after a bit of shuffling with the height. Ah yes, I see. Can't one make thewindows sizes fitting all devices (obviously not), like a responsive website? I'm wondering who uses the Windows mixer and for what purpose. If it isn't used much I don't need to make a connection between a Peace slider...

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

On second thought the Hotkey settings tab is the right one. Unfortunately there isn't any space over there also. But I'll try to come up with a solution. Yes, the Hotkey tab would be good. May be a sub tab (of the Hotkey tab) is possible to make. Or why not just make the tabs bigger. That sounds good, the sliders. But other app sliders stay. But moving the main down again and all app sliders move down. End result: an app volume gets lower and lower! It's horrible. Besides there isn't a volume slider...

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

I understand what you're saying about the error sound. I have to think about that a bit more. Anyway, it's why I made all kinds of different sounds available. Yes yes, that is very well done. And the sounds in the current version now are good as well, one can very good use them, so they could be kept (additionally) to (the) new sounds. All the sounds I can use very well. Yes, putting it on the Debug and Testing tab isn't the best place to put it. But I didn't have any space left on the General tab...

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

So one might think an error occurred. The sound must be that way because it must Yes, I understand, but may be there are none error sounding sounds hearable as well but sounding not like error sounds. But for me it is OK, thank you. Is it a temporare place for the sound setting there? I guess, it is hard to find there. On the Debug and Testing tab of Settings a sound and volume of the sound can be given. What settings are you talking about? Sorry, I meant, I would not assume to find such on a tab...

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Thank you! That's nice, with beep testing option, thank you! The beep is being outputted to the beeping speaker of the computer of which the volume can't be controlled. Not always, the beeps here beep from my speakers of the Pioneer VSX-830-K (connectet with HDMI cable) respectively other speakers (with the head phones output of the Notebook), head phones and such...or...I am not sure at the moment about the last ones. And that - I guess - is why the beeps sound quite loud / very good audible respectively...

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

By the way, a volume beep test option would be good, near the beeps, so one directly could test whether the beep volume is good. Especially because one has to close the Peace windows before one can check the beep volume and then has to go back (if I am not missing anything), and opening the Peace windows lasts very long with me.

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Oops, never had I supposed the beeps to be found on that tab...but of course I do not have any idea of beeps at all....so it seems, those beeps are for testing purposes on that tab...or so....but found them now, thank you! Oops again, on May, 2018...how could I have missed it for that long time. Hope there are not some more of the greatest options I miss as well.

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Great, thank you very much, Peter. Could you tell me where I can find those beeps respectively how to chose one of them? And I see, the update option "Once a day" must be new as well, so Peace looks for an update even without having to start it.

  • Martin Martin modified a comment on discussion General Discussion

Yes yes, of course, they should know, but many don't (like me). People should understand what the new update is about and decide if they want to update (after reading the notes). Yes (this is one option), and may be they should be able to decide if they do not want to know , understand it (like me, for example I trust Peace 100 % and know what you are doing is good for me, I always want Peace updates). Yes, I understand. And I guess, a delivered sound file with Peace would not be easier to handle as well. Actually the two beeps themselves are very nice. Many thanks again for investigating!

  • Martin Martin posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Ah yes, I see. So the louder the system sound / external amplifier the louder the beep, I assume. Well, actually I do not know, such a behaviour is very unusual, I guess, you want to click an item, but the GUI is already gone again and especially a new user might not understand it (especially when the disappearing lasts for some or many seconds, as it is with me) , but I do not know if it is worth that much work. Testing profiles...

Well, actually I do not know, if it is worth that much work. Testing profiles / settings / effectcs can get absolutely annoying with those heistations all the time, of course it would be good, at least for people with a slow (trashy Acer) computer. But if you had to re-prommate a lot (from scratch) it will be too much work. Many...

I suppose, I have forgotton it: when one invokes Peace (or switches a profile in the GUI) why is it that its GUI is shown for a short moment and then closed and then shown again after some time? I don't, it somehow is extremely annoying / inconvenient, isn't there another way?

No, no, there is no reason to say thank you, I am very thankful for such a great program (do not know any better one). Sounds very well, the issue is found, very well done. So when a download does not start you just will have to start it a next time, I guess. Cannot remember to have had this issue. Yes, of course, if you want me to test I will do so.
Yes, it should work until Microsoft changes things :)
The good thing is they cannot make it worse.
It seems that part of the Automation window has been drawn onto the main window. Does this happen a lot?
I cannot remember to have noticed it before. So I would say it must be quite new.
Thanks for answering the 2 questions. I get it how you do things. So now everything works as it should be?
No, no, thank you for your help. Yes, at the moment it works, do...

Thank you for the beep. And the explanations. Yes, os it seems I do have to cope with that behaviour of switching on and off the sounds / devices or whatever. I do not use Blue Tooth devices / headphones (at the moment). So there are no further problems with them. So clicking this button replaces a restart of Win for Peace: That is great, the Win restarts are quite annoying. By the way, is there anything wrong with the display: ...

I now restarted Win but Peace does not take any effect anymore. This is activated: When I click OK after not having changed anything the message comes to aks for a restart. Is it like it should be? When I try this, to solve the problem, this "Bitte genau ein installiertes Gerät durch Klick auf den Anschlussnamen wählen" is shown, but it is not explained what this means, why one should click such an item, what will...
1. Kodi doesn't allow hotkeys in full screen mode
No, no, a Win message is shown the new profile is active. And those two options were not activated when I started the Configurator: Do not know what this means but it sounds correct. Messages like these ones are shown when switching betwenn programs and Kodi and starting Kodi: And when I press a shortcut...

I changed the view modus in Kodi (https://i.imgur.com/VHp1P0b.png) And now when I switch between Peace's profiles thre is no effect anymore, the sound keeps unchanged. Why is it? And when I switch between Kodi and other programs each time the music just playing is interrupted respectively played through the Notebook speakers or through the of the one of the external amplifier.
