Are you trying to highlight that the dev does not know what he is doing because it is obvious that it would be.
That's my guess, Is this an intentional bad guess because it is highly unlikely a variable bitrate compression ratio is 50% different. It would be more likely the API is compromised making the entire app useless and all of your photos junk but if you can point to a variable bitrate that shows a 50% compression ratio do it.
