Whatever works best for you... But be careful with the resizing if your source is really interlaced. Most NLEs I know do not handle such tasks correctly.

DVDStyler is not very accommodating for NTSC stuff (the author is from PAL land), but it can certainly handle your source with a little manual work. First of all you need to determine if your source is really interlaced, or if it is just flagged as interlaced. Only way to find out is to open the source in a player which does not deinterlace automatically (I like VirtualDub) and step through frames with horizontal motion. If you do not see any combing then your source is progressive, no matter what...

Thanks for uploading the log file. I could not find any problems in the log, so for now I tend to believe that it is indeed a player problem. VLC does not have a good reputation as a DVD player software. For me it also has problems with menus created by DVDStyler, but it only affects the menu highlights. Good Windows software players for DVDs are MPC-HC, and one of my favorites is an old PowerDVD version which was bundled with my BenQ DVD burner. PowerDVD has a free version for download, they call...

I tried to reproduce your issue, but I couldn't... If the ISO plays on your PC, but the burned disk does not show the thumbnails it could be a player issue. Did you try to play the DVD on several software DVD players and also on some standalone hardware DVD players? Without any further information I can only guess what could be an additional reason for your problems. A few questions: Which OS are you using? Which DVDStyler version? Did you try to update the included FFmpeg version? Did you specify...

New version with a small improvement for users who prefer MP2 audio over AC3. You can read lots of comments on the Web that MP2 at high bitrates sounds better than AC3. I do not want to enter any dispute about this. But DVDStyler does support MP2 audio, it just uses the FFmpeg native MP2 encoder. The libtwolame MP2 encoder which is enabled in most FFmpeg builds has a higher quality output, and this plugin version enables libtwolame instead of MP2 as the MP2 encoder. The only requirement is an FFmpeg...

Hi everybody, while DVDStyler has its main strength in menu creation and authoring, the transcoding using ffmpeg is somewhat limited (only CBR is supported). So I decided to write a small plugin which expands DVDStyler's transcoding abilities (Windows only): Important: Starting with DVDStyler v. 3.0.1 the plugin is included in the DVDStyler installation. No need to download and install anything. Maybe read the PDF manual for the plugin... Older versions of the plugin are deprecated and will no longer...

A heads up for Win XP users: The latest change in my FFmpeg-VBR plugin is switching from the native MP2 encoder to the libtwolame library. Gives better quality, but requires an FFmpeg build with the libtwolame library enabled. The previous Win XP package came without libtwolame, please redownload and reinstall...
