Hi. :) Open the Global Editor and select "Font". If you change this to a font that supports the characters that are not showing, it should work fine.

Editing the ability.txt ffile can allow you to change the quantity of dice, the sides per dice, etc, but there is no "diceless" mechanic in Dungeon Craft. Anything ou do along these lines would need to be scripts that you write yourself and implement after character creation.
