Could anybody answer the following questions: Is it necessary to assign the same weights to each query for information retrieval? Can we assign different weights according to the important terms of query? Can we develop and test such kind of information retrieval system that will ask the user to input query and query weights at run time to retrieve the relevant documents? Thanks
