First, lets try to recover your mld file. 1. Please make sure you are actually opening he correct mld file. I know it sounds dumb to ask but I've done this when testing. 2. From the attached image, I noticed that you are using DropBox. I don't use DropBox but it might have a "Version History" copy online. 3. You can also try "Recuva" at https://www.ccleaner.com/download. Select "Recuva" on that page and download. This needs to be done ASAP if you want to try it before the clusters of deleted files...

As for using the same color for other elements, you can click on the dropdown arrow button, click on the Advanced button, cut/paste in the area above the R(ed) where it show the Hexadecimal representation of the color (eg. #FFD4FFFF) As for changing the interface, that part of the program is an old third-party tool. I do not have the code for it. :-(

You cannot change the 'MouseOver' color used simply by editing the Custom.xaml file of the Basic theme. You need to make a copy of the Detailed theme and make changes there.

The theming system was changed in 1.26.1.0. This was changed because maintenance and support was to tedious and complicated. The Basic - XXXX themes changes all necessary properties by just changing 3 settings. It is easier for most users. If you want to change some details, you will need to copy and customize the Detailed - XXXX theme. There is no documentation for the theme properties. Personal icons, used before with Maxlauncher, are no longer being accepted, using Edit Button.

On first use, the program creates an empty file called in C:\users[USERNAME]\Documens\MaxLauncher\Main.mld. Maybe it was deleted after install? Anyway, you can just select menu File -> New and create a new one. *.mld contains all tabs' (and their buttons) information.

No worries. Unfortunately, I purchase a cheap laptop a long time ago. The color reproduction is bad. :-( I can only calibrate it up to a certain point. Fortunately, the themes are customizable. Cheers!

Oh. I misunderstood. FYI, there is an Option called "Double-click mouse to launch" which requires a quick double-click or two clicks on the same button. This functionality is mainly for users who use screen-readers. The first click would read the button and the second would launch it.

Hi Steve, That is a Theme issue, old Themes(Metal Themes) may lose some functionality from 1.27.0.0 and future versions. Try using one of the new Basic/Detailed Themes. The reason behind the change is that the "old themes" (=> 1.26.0.0) is that is it very had to maintain and support. You can look at the structure and you will notice that the difference is significant. While the old themes may lose functionality with versions 1.27.0.0 and above, they will still work but will need modification. This...

Technically, this is not a fix but a workaround. By moving the window size/location, the potential corruption after Windows update reboot will only affect the window size/location and not the entire configuration. Since the window size/location can only be saved when exiting, this is the next best thing. There are other ways to save the window size/location but it is very messy and tricky to implement.

Main cause of this is that after the initial load, the file is still marked as updated and still needs to be saved. Therefore, in rare occasions, after a Windows Update reboot, unsaved files can sometimes be corrupted. ARggh.. sorry. Tthe mjf.mld file opens on mine. The error is the C:\Users\mamaf\AppData\Roaming\MaxLauncher\app.cfg. It got corrupted. app.cfg contains all the settings you set using the menu. Suggested TODO: Delete the file C:\Users\mamaf\AppData\Roaming\MaxLauncher\app.cfg or restore from backup. Start MaxLauncher This usually happens after restarting after a Windows Update. It is very annoying. I am changing that part now; in 1.28.0.0.

Hi, The Import is for the old MadAppLauncher. It was and old version of MaxLauncher. Those files had a .mal extension. There is no Import because it is not necessary. If you want to duplicate your setup on one machine to another, you need to copy/sync just the files. FYI, You only need the following files: app.cfg: contains all the configuration set using the menu favorites.cfg: contains the F1 buttons *.mld files: contains all the tab/buttons Shortcuts directory: if you added UWP(Windows Apps) apps....

When you hover it, what does the tooltip display? Put "Description: %windir%" on Description. When you hover it, what does the tooltip display? Put %windir% on Target and run it. The previous problems you had was with the app.cfg file. Background information: app.cfg - contains all the setting set using Menu items. I changed the way it saves app.cfg when logging out/rebooting. It is very hard to troubleshoot. Tried several different approaches. Build 1.26.3.0 was tested 500 times rebooting without issue. TO ALL USERS: Please report this error if you encounter it again. Thank you.

Your theme should work as is in 1.26.2.0 EXCEPT the Hide Button Icons/Text options. I had to change the FavoritesButtonStyle.xaml and TabButtonStyle.xaml files.
