I have a second Windows 11 ARM installation in VM, but under VMware Fusion. Yesterday, I installed foobar2000 for Windows ARM on it and copied my test albums to Windows. When I reconnect the DAC to the Mac, VMware Fusion asks me whether I want to connect this USB hardware to the Mac or to the running VM. The sound from the Windows VM is quite acceptable, with only occasional brief dropouts, which is to be expected with a VM and all sorts of things running on the Mac. I will soon repeat the EQ-APO...
Today I installed the latest version of foobar2000 and also ASIO, DSD, SACD drivers/add-ins. Peace receives the audio stream but has no influence. I noticed this when making drastic adjustments there. Tried this with S.M.S.L. SU-1 – it could be that it is missing the USB driver. Will be a new ‘session’ in the next few days. Possibly back to Jan Meier's Corda Daccord ff DAC.
No additional drivers are required for DACs on macOS. My main DAC is an older Jan Meier Corda Daccord ff, and I recently added an affordable S.M.S.L. SU-1 MQA MQA-CD Audio Decoder AK4493S XU316 768kHz/32Bit DSD512 Hi-Res DAC – both are fully recognised with all their capabilities without additional USB drivers. I see this in all the players I use – Audirvana Studio, JRiver Media Centre, Fidelia (from the App Store), foobar2000 for Mac, Decibel, DeaDBeeF. Not all players can handle DSD natively; with...
The bass is boosted too much at 105 Hz and cut too much at 47 Hz.

W11 ARM UTM/QEMU VM on M1 Mac Mini installed: EqualizerAPO-ARM64-1.4.2 PeaceSetup Music plays - test one of my headphones Sennheiser HD 490 Pro Producer Pads Of course, I had to assign the DAC's USB port to the VM, which worked without any problems. Since the Mac and the USB bus are also busy with other things, there were minor sound dropouts.
Is Peace Windows 11 ARM ready - I could test them in a Windows ARM VM on my M1 MacMini.
