Hi VinDSL, Tor launcher doesn't work over here. Getting errors like:"Are you connected to the internet?" or the usual '404'. Your comments are the only ones I could find after typing 'Tor' in the search field. Reinstalling launcher didn't work neither installing Tor by Synaptic including the recommended and needed packages. Not exactly in dire straits am I, just wanted to let you know. Thanks!
Very interesting read, thank you Peppermint and Cavy for the time and effort. Deserves to be a 'sticky' post for everyone to read at any time!
Your system is/was 32 bit. I had the same issue running a 32 bit os. Some or most streaming services don't support 32 bit anymore. I hope this answers your issue, a bit late, Perhaps others may find this info helpful. All the best!
Thanks Peppermint OS for all the info and time invested. Just watched this video from above, at least I tried to. https://youtu.be/7JN57toaSG8 How many 'f' and 's' words does one need to make a point? It made my toes curl. Enough said. Off topic: Me thinks that Peppermintos is a step up from Devuan itself, the -default- desktop is much more pleasant to the eyes. To name but one thing. Kind regards, Edward
Dear Pepfolks, After updating with xDaily I get the following message: /opt/pypep/xDaily: line 206: _ ptools command not found This the final line, see picture. In the /opt/pypep/xDaily file permission for root are read and write. Further more actions I shall not take, I hope this information is sufficient. What to do? Kind regards, Edward
Great tutorial and it worked for me. However, I'm missing a step here. It is naming the flag on the usb stick after it has been formatted. in Gparted. Boot for bios, boot and esp for uefi. Obvious for seasoned linux users, but not for newbies. Do not use Unetbootin for this purpose, it won't work. (long story short, lol)

Thanks again, and yes, I am aware of this recommendation. (Opinions vary about this subject but that is off topic.)
Thanks for your time and input Cavy!! Cleaned up the usb and ssd and learned another lesson. Performed a 'reload' in Synaptic after install and Xdaily update, but no errors this time. Happy! Feel a bit silly for overlooking this issue which you pointed out, but then again kinda fulfilled for fixing it. Easy peasy it was. Also a big thanks to Manuel Rosa and Peppermint for responding. Please mark as solved, admins.
Hi, I am fine, thank you. Performed a re install, I think so, and get the same error. See photo mousepad. Underneath the lay out of the re install. Hello, I successfully installed Duvean on my HP Elitebook 64 bit. Happy! Performed an update through xDaily afterwards. Again success. However, after reloading Synaptic I get the following message: 'Could not download all repository indexes' And a bit further: 'The repository 'http://deb.devuan.org/merged chimaera/updates Release' does not have a Release file.' For more info I refer to the attachment, if that's alright with you. Network connection is fine. What to do now? Thanks!
How do I mark this topic as 'solved' ?
How do I mark this topis as 'solved' ?
Did that, nothing happened. Anyway, it is solved, thank you for your reply!
Yes! Thank you for not replying to my latest post! I've found out for my self, so fulfilling! Went for a run first. :-) I found the instructions at: https://peppermint_os.codeberg.page/html/#xdaily-xd Should have searched a bit more earlier, however it is fixed and this will be my update method in the future. Thank you for your time and giving me the right hints!
Thank you for your fast reply! Feel rather stupid here. Can't find hub run, neither in the terminal. Can't open synaptic, for the update manager is busy. I do not dare to close the update manager. Sorry.
Hi, I am running an update with the update manager. All went well until the grub update appeared. The update manager wants me to enter the sda items, however no matter what I typed, nothing happened. And I tried all sorts. For sure, as always there will be a simple solution to this. However, closing the update manager now seems risky. I failed to find this issue in the wiki and support so please forgive me if I've overlooked.! Thanks in advance! My OS is the 32 bit version, if that helps. Some of...
