Thanks for that answer. Could you maybe update p7zip with new sourcecode atleast? I could even compile it myself but i think everyone would have a better experience if everyone has access to it in the repos. I feel like this is kinda important because the version is 5 years old and hasnt been updated with, for example, such important changes. Thanks ^^

Hello. I found this thread on google when searching for "7zip unpack with multi core" And here we are, 11 years later. I have a Ryzen 7 3700X with 2 NVMe Disks in Raid 0. This gives me roughly 2GB-2.5GB/s write speeds. As you can see my System can do these kinds of speeds. you can see me extracting my big file which is compressed with level 3 LZMA2 compression. And you can see htop with only one Core of my CPU being utilized and the extract speed being 55 MB/s. The extraction speed could be way higher,...
