Could you try installing the program via command line by running the below command msiexec /i "GUI Turbo Assembler.msi" /L*V install_log.txt

After successful installation, the installer is supposed to do the following tasks. These are optional from the IDE functionality point of view * Associate the IDE with .inc and .asm file * Migrate dock settings from old version to newer. In your situation, as the IDE is opening and working as expected, you can use it wihout any issue. If the .inc and .asm file are not associated, you can manually do so

You can try closing it forcefully via Windows Task Manager

Close all running installer and the application as well. Then start the installer from command line via the above command.
