Any chance someone could look at this? There is a similar ticket: https://sourceforge.net/p/raspberry-gpio-python/tickets/157/ but essentially I (any many many users) can't get reliable readings in door-bell scenario (fast press). I sometimes get on when I don't press the button and off when the button is pressed. I used resistors, consulted the schematics with electrical engineer and it is current. Please fix this ticket and make GPIO accurate and reliable

Is there a chance this could be fixed? It's fifth day of pulling out my hair becasue I can't get reliable readings in simple door-bell solution. This issue is more that 1,5 years old. I've searched over Home Assistant (it is using this library) forums for solutions and essentialy every one dump gpio's in favour of ESP8266 and MQTT. Other solution I found involved 555 timer. It can't be that complex to detect simple button press.
