Hi, no problem, meanwhile i have been experimenting with recording impulses myself, but Atmos suits me best. Cutting impulses was behind my latest experiments. I wanted to remove room reverb/reflections because i was somehow unsatisfied how it sounds in linux when using virtual surround sink 7.1 with PipeWire. My latest experiment is impulse long only 20ms and it feels so far the best/cleanest to me. But maybe it’s only in my head :)

I wanted to remove room reverb/reflections because i was somehow unsatisfied how it sounds in linux when using virtual surround sink 7.1 with PipeWire. My latest experiment is impulse long only 15ms and it feels so far the best/cleanest to me. But who knows what is the right approach :)

Hello, how is life? Time flies, one year later i was thinking again about your Atmos presets :) Recently i read on the internet that Atmos "Movie" preset applies some kind of dynamic range compression. Don't you think that it can have negative impact on recorded files? It seems to me that for recording HRTF only viable option is to select custom preset in Dolby Access app, turn ON surround virtualizer and turn OFF volume normalizer..

Propably, yes, but thank you anyway.. I will check your other HRIR's posted in this forum and try to find the best for me. What is your preference for movies?

Well.. this definitelly harmed quality a lot. It seems like in Windows is something else going on. But your previous EQ variant sounds very good, maybe a bit better than default DA-Movie :)
