Hi, no problem, meanwhile i have been experimenting with recording impulses myself, but Atmos suits me best. Cutting impulses was behind my latest experiments. I wanted to remove room reverb/reflections because i was somehow unsatisfied how it sounds in linux when using virtual surround sink 7.1 with PipeWire. My latest experiment is impulse long only 20ms and it feels so far the best/cleanest to me. But maybe it’s only in my head :)

Hello, how is life? Time flies, one year later i was thinking again about your Atmos presets :) Recently i read on the internet that Atmos "Movie" preset applies some kind of dynamic range compression. Don't you think that it can have negative impact on recorded files? It seems to me that for recording HRTF only viable option is to select custom preset in Dolby Access app, turn ON surround virtualizer and turn OFF volume normalizer..

I meant your prefered hrir for movies, not a movie genre :)
Propably, yes, but thank you anyway.. I will check your other HRIR's posted in this forum and try to find the best for me. What is your preference for movies?
Well.. this definitelly harmed quality a lot. It seems like in Windows is something else going on. But your previous EQ variant sounds very good, maybe a bit better than default DA-Movie :)

Interresting. I see those files are much smaller than your previous files. What affects file size? Applied reverb or something else? If it does not bother you much, please record DA Movie with Balanced EQ to compare Windows vs Linux difference.. Maybe that's my missing piece :) and thank you !!! I wonder what does it mean inteligent EQ. It is equalizing sound in real time, depending on scene? In that case it may not work as expected..

It's quite easy to create virtual surround sink if you are using PipeWire. It will not work with Pulse Audio, believe me, i have tried and turned upside down whole internet.. But PipeWire is the future anyway :) Easiest guide is propably in this video with links in description: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dc4lSt_-_uw Edit: At one point in that video is HRIR file copied to ".config/pipewire". This has not worked for me in Ubuntu and i don't know why, even if path in config file was correct. I...

I just want to thank you for updated Atmos files. I have created virtual surround sink in linux with PipeWire using Atmos file and your files sounds great. Best so far i have tested. Linux PipeWire build-in convolver is compatible with HeSuVi files.. Do you think that sound card driver can affect final HRIR if you have recorded these new Atmos files or it does not matter? Is your DA-Movie preset using inteligent equalizer from Dolby Access app? I am asking because it sounds little bit different in...
