    I tried VeraCrypt around a year ago but uninstalled cause I got an error that I could not resolve. Today I reinstalled again without an issue and seems to be working as it should. Regarding speed everything is normal here. It is installed in my desktop Dell Optiplex 5090 SFF running Windows 11 Pro and also in a 14 years old Toshiba laptop running Windows 10 Home. I encrypted a folder in a portable HDD. So far so good.

    Never used before and got the same problem here. I use Windows 11 Pro 24H2. I tried to run the shortcut as administrator and displayed the error as well but it opened clicking OK in the error. Then disabled then administrator option and now VeraCrypt opens ok. This behavior is somewhat abnormal.

    Good news! I updated v4.4.8 to v4.4.9 and this time everything was just fine. So, I suppose something was wrong with the previously installed v4.4.7 that caused the malfunction after the update.

    Oh I'm sorry. I just deleted v4.4.9 before reinstalling v4.8 and the log was deleted as well. As time permits I will try again the last version.

    Today I finally found the problem. I tried another USB memory and voila! It worked just fine. Now I have KeePass in my laptops and desktops and KeePassium in iPads and iPhones. By the way, KeeWeb worked just fine with the old USB memory. So, what's wrong with the old USB memory that otherwise it works just fine? I reformatted the USB memory and it worked as well. Everything OK now. Regards

    On My iPad. Still can't find a solution to access the database in the USB memory. I tried (free) KeePassium, StrongBox and Syncpass ports. No joy. KeePassium is the one that works better for me but I can't figure out how to run the database. The only option in KeePassium seems to be copying the database from the USB memory to the iPad (not my goal) but even so I only get an empty default database.

    Cause along with KeePass you may have other software/media library or whatever in the same USB memory or HDD/SSD. Regards

    Thanks. I will take a look. By the way Sony announced a new firmware that supposedly will fix the current problems. I hope so, cause the firmware and the last update in the Bravia is crap.

Now KeePass closes and exit normally. "Regularly backup up your database file and key file (if you use one). Also, document your master key using the emergency sheet File>Print>Print Emergency Sheet and store the sheet in a safe, secure location." Yes I use Lockbox in a folder to protect sensible data.

    Paul, I do that in the Sony Bravia (Android), but it is a nightmare to enter 13 upper/lower case letters plus numbers and symbols. That's why some people use pet's names or 12345. Not me. Regards

I finally could run and use KeePass in a USB flash memory plugged in the TP-Link router from my laptop (Windows 10 Home) and my Desktop (Windows 10 Pro). -In the Windows 10 Pro SMB2 protocol must be activated.     For years I'm using FloatLed a really smart led indicator that shows activity in all my disks, including externals with simple unobtrusive indicators I placed vertically in the upper/left corner of my screen. That way I have all my disks C D E F G drives letters blinking red and green. Unfortunatelly it is a very old application and the publisher site have dissapeared.     There are lots of errors running under PHP 7-x. Most errors related to the deprecated mysql_xxx functions. I replaced all by mysqli_xxx but still have problems with the following function at functions.php: function dbquery($query) { $result = @mysqli_query($query); if (!$result) { echo mysqli_error(); return false; } else { return $result; } I have tried to fix the error in line 9: echo mysqli_error(); without success.

For example, each entry in KeePass2 have the following fields: Group, Title, User Name, Password, URL, Notes.     I'm using Windows 10. Let suppose Firefox is your default browser. Then at Desktop 2 you open Firefox, your default editor and a calculator. Then you go back to Desktop 1 and you double click a website link. Instead of opening Firefox in Desktop 1 the browser opens in desktop 2. Similarly at Windows Explorer you double click a text file while you're in Desktop 1, the editor opens in Desktop 2 instead of Desktop 1. This is a Windows problem resulting in messing up your desktop setups.
